The University of Chicago Summer

UChicago Summer Research Residency

The College’s Summer Research Residency program is a new opportunity designed for undergraduate students conducting research on campus or around Chicago over the summer months. This program will foster a vibrant, engaged on-campus community for student researchers by providing resources, support, and connections to faculty and staff.

UChicago undergraduates selected to participate in the Summer Research Residency program will be awarded with grants to offset the cost of living on-campus while conducting research with a faculty member or within a specific program. Students accepted to the program will pay $350 per week, which includes housing, dining and optional events.

This community will connect students from across disciplines, giving them the chance to collaborate through events with faculty and peers designed to network and bounce ideas around, as well as cultural and social activities over the weekend.
