Course Description
This program introduces participants to UChicago-style economics education. Instructional professors and lecturers in the Department of Economics explore topics in three foundational areas: microeconomics, experimental economics, and macroeconomics. Participants also attend workshops on entrepreneurship, careers in business, and applying to graduate school in the US, including a tour of UChicago’s renowned Booth School of Business. Throughout the program, participants have ample opportunity to practice both academic and informal spoken English.
Participants experience American life and culture and explore the vibrant city of Chicago through evening and weekend residential program activities, and have time to explore the city on their own. They live on campus in an undergraduate residence hall, supported by UChicago students who serve as residential staff. Meals are provided three times a day, seven days a week, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available at every meal.
