Quantum Computing: An Introduction
Course Description
This course will introduce students to the interdisciplinary endeavor of quantum computing. The course will focus on developing intuition about the quantum phenomena underlying quantum computing (superposition and entanglement), and their benefits and limitations.
Through hands-on interfacing with Qiskit (a popular quantum computing language environment), students will learn about basic quantum operations and measurement, how to build basic quantum circuits with those operations, and understand example quantum algorithms.
Students will develop strong competence in the fundamentals of quantum computing that will begin to prepare them for a career in the Quantum Information Systems space.
